Starting in October,  CDs and downloads can be pre-ordered on Bandcamp.
 
Why?  In order for sales to be officially counted by Nielsen ratings, they must go through an official source. Sales are counted each week, so when an album releases, it is to the artist's advantage to have the pre-orders and orders all hit at the same time. For this reason, I loove pre-orders on Bandcamp!
