Bicycle
Love is saying sorry first
Telling the worst thought, “Uh-uh, no sir.”
Life’s a game of chicken, love is first swerve
Love is saying sorry first
Love is sticking to your guns
Holding the mirror ‘til the vision comes
If life’s a game of chicken, love will never run
'Cause love is sticking to your guns
It’s kinda like the pedals on my child’s bicycle
The pedals lock beneath your feet, you try to make them go
Push pedal against pedal, and then it starts to flow
Into a forward cycle: confess, repent, grow
Love is seeing ours not mine
Fighting the world, not our own pride
Life’s no game of chicken, that bird just doesn’t fly
Love is seeing ours not mine
It’s kinda like the pedals on my child’s bicycle
The pedals lock beneath your feet, you try to make them go
To move the bike along, one of those pedals must come low
And start the forward cycle: confess, repent, grow..

Wake Up, Daylight
Wake up, daylight, out the door again
Work hard, try to feel like you fit in
You say...You’re inadequate
You say....You’re unloved
You say….wearing thin, behind the clock
And you're not enough
Strange - the best man I have ever known
Tells me he’s a fool when he gets home
You say...You’re inadequate
You say....You’re unloved
You say….wearing thin, behind the clock
And you're not enough
I see beautiful
I see beautiful
And all you know is worn out soul
So, you’re inadequate
I wish you could see
Your tired, weary, worn-out soul
Is beautiful to me
